If you’re reading this thinking, “Gee I wish I didn’t have to cook dinner on February 25th,” We have great news for you!  Our annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser for Righteous Mission will be February 25 with two seatings, 5:00 and 7:30pm. Both seatings will have child care. Tickets are $15 each and will go on sale February 5th after every service.

WOW!!!  Mercy Threads just shipped 32 Cover-them-with-Love quilts,
24 baby sweaters, and 2 cheerful hospital gowns to Midwest Mission Distribution Center.  MMDC will distribute them to happy children and grateful parents
throughout the world.  Knitters and Sewers get busy.  Another shipment will depart

Why? Making Sense of God’s Will explores these fundamental questions . This 4 week study will be offered on Tuesday mornings beginning Jan.10th at 9:30-11am and Sunday mornings beginning Jan.15th at 10am in the Parlor. Childcare is available on Tuesdays if you register before classes start. Nursery and Angels in training available for Sunday mornings. Both classes facilitated by Christine Wyatt.

Beth Moore’s David:“Seeking a Heart Like His” begins Thursday, Jan. 19 from 9:30-11:30 am. The theme of the study is that God will never give up on you. This is an 11 week study. Childcare is available. (Bible)

Core Values: Where are We Now?  What does it mean to be Committed to Christ? To have Worship that Makes A Difference ? To extend Biblical Hospitality? To Make Disciples? To engage in Transformational Mission? Why is it necessary to be a church that has Core Values and lives them as individuals and as a congregation? Pastor Rick will lead a 5 week exploration beginning  Jan. 25 from 7-8:30pm. (Core Values)

This 6 session course will help you start the year right financially and apply biblical principles to control your finances. Lisa Zeck, financial coach, and Bob Hoff will lead this class beginning Wednesday, January 11 from 7-8:30pm. (Stewardship Education)

Our first annual FAMILY MISSION TRIP is quickly approaching, scheduled for
March 8-11, 2012.  This mission trip is meant for families of all ages, creating an experience where families can serve together away from the day-to-day grind of home. The projects will be specifically tailored to the age, maturity, and skill sets of the children and parents who will be attending.  The cost for 3 day adventure is $200 per family, which includes all meals, lodging, and projects.  If your family is interested, please contact Greg Martin, gmartin@clarkstonumc.org, or Martha Manting, mmanting@gpworldwide.com

The dates for our church's first ever MISSION TRIP TO HAITI are set.  We will be going November 5-13, 2012.  If you would be interested in serving just outside of Port Au Prince, please contact Greg Martin, gmartin@clarkstonumc.org, as soon as possible. There will be a cost and much planning, but the first detail we need to have in place is knowing what people will be going on this life-changing trip.  Even if you're not sure you can go, but might be interested, we want to hear from you.
