An Evening of Understanding and Hope
Mental illness touches nearly every family, yet many of us feel unsure how to talk about it or where to turn for help. On October 12 at 6:30 pm, we invite you to join us for a meaningful conversation with Leon Judd, a local NAMI leader who understands firsthand what it means to support a loved one through mental health challenges.
Leon will share his personal journey—the struggles, the breakthroughs, and the resources that made a difference for his family. You'll learn about the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and the practical support it offers to individuals and families navigating mental health conditions. Whether you're supporting someone you love, want to better understand anxiety and depression, or simply hope to build a more compassionate community, this evening will provide valuable insights and open the door to honest conversation.
A Safe Space for Real Conversation
This isn't a lecture—it's an invitation to learn together. Leon will cover common mental health conditions, share eye-opening facts and statistics, and facilitate a thoughtful discussion about the different experiences of anxiety and depression. You'll leave with a deeper understanding, reduced stigma, and knowledge of resources available right here in our community.
Join us at Clarkston United Methodist Church on October 12 at 6:30 pm. There's no charge to attend, but we'd love for you to register so we can prepare adequate seating and materials. Together, we can create a church family where mental health is understood, supported, and never faced alone.
