Food Pantry Angel
Ongoing

Each month, there are volunteers from the church who support the pantry by donating regularly needed items, like fresh fruits and vegetables, gallons of milk, chicken, and more. The food pantry counts on their consistent support, and it is a gift to be able to count on receiving those items each month. Thank you to those who donate in this way!

We are in search of more "food pantry angels" who will commit to buying items that are a recurring need each month. For example, on a monthly basis, the pantry needs at least 10 boxes of saltine crackers to distribute to families. Perhaps your family is willing to be the saltine supplier, donating the boxes needed each month for the rest of this year? Whether you choose to donate saltines or a different type of item, knowing that you're shopping for a single recurring item can make it easier to keep an eye out for sales or coupons. Shopping for a consistent food pantry item could also be a good way to start a conversation with kids or grandkids about the importance of helping others.

Would you be a "food pantry angel"? Items in need of monthly donors include pantry staples like olive oil, sugar and coffee, as well as kid-friendly items like goldfish crackers, juice, and hamburger helper. We are hoping these "angels" would donate through the end of the year (June to December). If you discover you love supporting the food pantry in this way, you might choose to extend your commitment into next year or choose to sign up for a different monthly item next year!
